Points and Poundage 2

I am so excited!! At Crossfit we did this WOD on March 1st and I COMPLETELY crushed my last record on this!  However, I didn't do as well on the running of the suicides points.  Last Points and Poundage I ran suicides for 90 pound where this time I only ran for 66 points...The running points I scored less in because the first time around I didn't score the points properly for the suicides. I thought that you could gain extra points by running to certain cones after the first suicide and you can't do that.  Crossfit is the FIRST program that I have done consistently and let me tell you the program WORKS!!! I have never been so addicted to something before! It's awesome!!!

Great news on my end! My marathon training schedule has been configured and tailored to my needs!! It is a LOT different this time around.  Instead of running for "MILES" I am going to be running for "TIME"...It's a new way of training for me but I trust the person who configured it for me.  After all he did run the Palm Beach 100...You seriously have to be a crazy person to run 100miles!! LOL

Points and Poundage


1 ROUND = 2 Min. Suicide Run (For Max. POINTS)
2 Min. DEADLIFT (For Total POUNDS)
Complete 5 ROUNDS. REST 1 MIN. Between rounds.
Scoring SUICIDES: TOTAL POINTS (5-4-3-2-1)
Suicides set up 5 cones equally spaced over 50 M distance. Start run to furthest cone each cycle. Score 5 points for furthest, 4 for 4th, 3 for 3rd, 2 for 2nd, and 1 for 1st. Points only scored once back at start line. One complete cycle would = 15 points. Must self-score.


Scoring DEADLIFTS: TOTAL POUNDS LIFTED Athlete may select their own weight and grip. Total REPS x WEIGHT ON BAR = Total Poundage for each round.

Nightmare on Elm Street

Nightmare on Elm Street is the WORST horror movie remake EVER!!! Most of you that know me know I have watched every horror movie known to man!!! I LOVE them!!! Freddy was just not Freddy at all...can someone please tell me what parent would send their kid to school with a man that lives in the basement of the school?!! I know I wouldn't!! Freddy from the 80's was a child murderer and this Freddy was a Pedophile. That plot line just killed it for me. I don't like that type of story line because it bothers me but in this particular instance the plot of him liking children in a sexual way was just completely unnecessary! Freddy from the 80's was scary but while he was scary he had this comedic value to him. This Freddy barely even spoke and when he did he was very serious.

I don't know you guys. Maybe the remakes we don't find as scary because we are jaded. We are jaded by new technology. Nothing phases us any more. Back in the 80's when they didn't have what we have now it seems soooo much more realistic. As a child you are lead to believe that people don't hurt kids so when Freddy came out and all he did was kill kids in their sleep during their nightmares that was SCARY. Do we not have the ability to be frightened anymore. Are we so jaded that we don't have that "Fear Factor"? Or maybe we can only be scared as a child? I don't know but I am looking for that feeling I got when I watched the Exorcism. I felt AFRAID.  Maybe I felt that fear because being possessed by a demon is something way beyond "us" and the physical world...

NOTE*** I am having my marathon training schedule looked at today by someone I met at Crossfit. We had a workout in the park one Saturday morning and then we all went to breakfast and he happened to sit next to me and it was that easy that I met him... I am so thankful that he is helping me out. If you think I am crazy this guy is worse! He's awesome! He does triathlons, ultra marathons(100miles), swims etc. Yesterday he RAN to crossfit did the workout and then Ran home! I love it!
